We are hosting a workshop to help your children de-stress, build connection, and express their emotions. Expressive arts help us externalize and express our feelings, support our mind-body connection, and can soothe the limbic system through bilateral stimulation. We will work on a handful of expressive arts activities throughout the day, and provide your child with ideas they can implement at home to soothe anxious thoughts and feelings in the future.
Adolescents are faced with more demands than ever before. From social media, to the growing competition our kids face in the education system, it’s no wonder many of them struggle to manage anxious feelings. In this group, we will teach you a variety of coping skills that you can take home to teach your anxious teen. We will cover techniques to soothe the nervous system, decrease emotional distress, and cognitive behavioral strategies to support the rewiring of unhelpful thoughts.
We will work on planning and organizing skills while focusing on how to use visuals to help with time management. We will combine these techniques to help your child learn how to prepare simple meals and follow simple recipes.
